Adobe and Blackmagic recently released updates that required changes to the PugetBench benchmarks. New builds of the Photoshop and DaVinci Resolve benchmarks are now available and should automatically show up in the Creators app as "PugetBench for DaVinci Resolve 1.2.0" and "PugetBench for Photoshop 1.0.4".

Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve 20 Launch

Blackmagic has just released DaVinci Resolve 20 with a host of improvements, including full support for NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs. To accommodate this new version, we have updated our benchmark to PugetBench for DaVinci Resolve 1.2.0. This new build includes database files to support Resolve 20, but does NOT change any of the tests or scoring.

In our testing, we found that most hardware will not see a meaningful performance impact in our benchmark from this new version of Resolve. However, systems with NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs will show a measurable difference due to the inclusion of additional hardware decoding support for those cards. Due to this, we do not recommend comparing performance with Resolve 20 to previous versions.

PugetBench for DaVinci Resolve 1.2.0 is immediately available for use in the Creators app.

Adobe Photoshop 26.7 Update

Adobe released an update for Photoshop (26.7) that caused a minor conflict with our benchmark. The update prevented custom brushes (used in the "Smudge Tool" test) from being deleted correctly, halting the benchmark run. A fix for this issue is available in PugetBench for Photoshop 1.0.4. No changes to tests or scoring have been made, and results are interchangeable with previous versions of the benchmark.

PugetBench for Photoshop 1.0.4 is immediately available for use in the Creators app.
